Bajaj is about to launch their most powerful Pulsar ever, the Pulsar 400. Set to debut on May 3rd, the Pulsar 400 will compete with rivals like the KTM 390 Duke and Hero Mavrick.

Pulsar 400 Design

The render stays true to Bajaj’s Pulsar design language while adding a muscular look befitting a bigger bike. It features a large exhaust, beefy gold-finished upside-down front forks, sharper tank shrouds, and a larger fuel tank.

Sporty Details

Split seats and clip-on handlebars give the Pulsar 400 a sporty feel. The high rear subframe suggests a delta box chassis, and the sculpted tank and heel plates hint at good cornering ability. A tail tidy might look sleeker, but the rendered setup offers practicality. Rearset footpegs and premium mirrors add a touch of class.

Engine Possibilities

The render shows a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a DOHC 4-valve head and Bajaj’s DTS-i technology. This larger engine looks well-proportioned within the frame.

Bajaj’s Engine Options

Bajaj currently manufactures several high-performance single-cylinder engines for other brands:

  • 373cc engine (40 bhp & 35 Nm) with a 6-speed gearbox (Dominar 400)
  • 398.15cc engine (40 bhp & 37.5 Nm) used in the Triumph 400 range
  • 398.63cc engine (45 bhp & 39 Nm) powering the latest KTM 390 Duke, 390 Adventure, and 390 Enduro

It’s likely the Pulsar 400 will use the same 373cc engine as the Dominar 400.

This rendering gives us a glimpse of what the Bajaj Pulsar 400 might look like. With its powerful engine and sporty design, it has the potential to be a strong contender in the 400cc motorcycle segment.
